Rhodope Art Painting holiday - Zlatograd

点评：This was my first ever painting holiday and I couldn’t have chosen a better place for many reasons.
Karyn was an excellent host who gave informative tuition and couldn’t do enough for us.
The accommodation was perfect with comfortable rooms and a very decent en suite shower which is always good. The restaurant and shops were a minute’s stroll and there were beautiful little craft outlets tucked away just down the lane. Use of a Spa was included in the package which was two minutes walk.
The courtyard of our accommodation was the perfect location to receive tuition.
We also had a day trip to Greece and did plein air painting in the local hillsides.
Food at the hotel was included in the package, and was good quality and hearty, and all made from fresh local ingredients.
Zlatograd is a great location within driving distance of Greek beaches and Istanbul if you want to extend your stay. Buses and trains run regularly though I didn’t check them out myself.
I could go on and on but would advise that if you are considering an art tuition holiday for all abilities, to go check it out.
My expectations were more than met and then some.
The exhibition of our work the end of the week was a nice touch, a culmination of six days of sunshine and art which was well attended by the local community.
Thank you Karyn for your exemplary organisation, indispensable tuition and for making us feel so much at home.
I didn’t mind leaving because I know I shall return for more.
