圣灵教堂的点评
点评：The Santo Spirito church lies at the end of the square of the same name, and was constructed by Brunelleschi at the beginning of the 15th century. It said that Michelangelo came here to study corpses for his anatomical teaching, which was at the time considered a crime. He paid back the church by creating a crucifix which is in a separate chapel requiring an entrance fee of 2 EUR.
The rest of the church is free to enter, but it is for some obscure reason forbidden to take photos - not that this is respected - and the reason for this is quite blurry?
It is not a very visited church, so it would not ruin the flow of visitors.
It contains a lot of family chapels with the armory of each family depicted above them; a total of 38 - the church measuring 97 meters by 32 meters, there is plenty of space. The most notable artists behind these chapels are Portinari, Fra Bartolomeo and Lippi.
There are two beautiful cloisters as well; but it is not a church offering anything you will not find in other Florentine churches.
