Best pub in Old Colwyn for a friendly welcome and good chat.

点评：The friendliest pub I have ever visited. The owner is a warm and welcoming chap called Gordon. He and his son, Owain, run the business together. When you walk in, it feels like you are visiting a friend's home as it is small and cosy.
Customers sit on either side of the micropub, usually facing one another so the conversation evolves with the ebb and flow of personalities. It all feels relaxed, no-one grandstanding or too drunk to communicate. Great place to get advice!
Two things will hit you as you walk in, the smell of bleach and the instant inclusion in any ongoing conversation. It is the ideal place for anyone on their own to go to drink because, whether you are a regular or a newbie like me, you will be instantly included in the banter. The regulars seem to be largely mature gentlemen and their partners. The conversation and jokes are respectful and easygoing. There is a Pool table in the second half of the pub which offers an escape from socialising, if desired.
The only way of improving this pub is if it were to sell hot drinks too (I'm not much of a beer drinker). However, the regulars probably prefer the current beverages. I strongly recommend this establishment if you are new to Old Colwyn or looking for a new a place to drink in the area.
