She grew up in de Chelly canyon, on a family farm below the Mummy Cave rooms.
She had such a generous, open spirit when sharing her personal stories that she became the highlight of the morning! Elsie gave us greater insight into Dine culture than we ever could have imagined possible.
She admirably conveyed her love of homeland, culture, and heritage.
It seemed there was nothing she did not know about the pictographs; the Anasazi, Hopi, and Dine history of the canyon; and the lives of all the people who have (and continue to) inhabit the canyon. Elsie gave us easygoing, enjoyable company!
It was easy to work with the Beauty Way company via internet and telephone. Their vehicle was comfortable and reliable. Highly recommended this adventure!
