A wonderful tour of Cassino with Dr Danila

点评：My brother and I were able to realise a long held dream to visit Cassino, where our Grandfather had fought in 1944 as part of NZEF, Cavalry Division. We spent an amazing 2 days in Cassino and the surrounding areas, expertly guided by Dr Danila who was the perfect host throughout.
Danila really tailored the tour for us and took us to all the key areas where the New Zealander's had been involved. She had clearly done additional research so all of our questions were fully answered very informatively and we could imagine things the Kiwis experienced as they moved up the length of Italy.
She also gave us an excellent overview of the wider Allied campaign in Italy and added unique texture to the wider story.
We also had two excellent lunches while on the tour and were able to experience some of the local food and wine, which was a welcome bonus! To have an expertly crafted itinerary in place and to be able to move around the area in comfort, enabled us to relax and really take in the whole experience.
Danila's passion for the area, for the history and for the people, was evident throughout the journey and her own first hand experience really helped us appreciate what the people of Cassino had been through.
We would thoroughly recommend Danila as a best-in-class guide for a tour of the Monte Cassino area, a trip that will live long in our memories. Thank you.
