点评:I would have to say this was a very mixed experience, as soon as you step into the Medina you are set upon by aggressive guys trying to get you into their shops. I'm here for a week and I just wanted to walk around to get a feeling for the place. The go to ploy was "how much is insert made up item in your country" then once you engage they try to guilt you into coming in and all these stores are selling exactly the same items. 15 times within a 10 minute stroll this exact ploy was tried. Now the bad is out of the way let's start on the good I was able to find some amazing bargains as gifts for friends and as souvenirs for myself. I stopped at a fantastic place to eat called Meraki which was comfortable and the food and coffee where far better than I expected I paid 22TND for a meal and a coffee which for a touristic place was less than expected. The feel of the Medina whilst obviously new felt authentic and looks beautiful. Very clean and the facilities staff are very helpful. Whilst initially I was going to turn around and walk away I will be heading back into the Medina again next time I'm here.
