点评：The trip from start to finish was outstanding. We stayed on ‘Pepper’. A beautiful boat with two levels, two bedrooms, living area, large dining area, a large front deck, a sauna and a jacuzzi bath. We left the dock at 12:30pm and started our cruise around the backwaters. Lunch was served at around 1pm. It tasted amazing and there was more than enough for the two of us! We loved how the backwaters changed colours as the day progressed. It was unbelievably relaxing and so peaceful. Watching the locals going about their day was a wonder. We chose to have dinner at 7pm after taking a boat ride down one of the tributaries which cost only 2000rp for the two of us. Dinner was again lovely. You can choose to pay extra for fish but we had already had fish for lunch so opted out. We purchased a bottle of wine for dinner and a couple of beers for our trip as there is only water, tea and coffee included on board. The price was very reasonable. We requested these before arrival based on another review I read so I’m not sure if they would have been offered or not. Note that payment is either by cash or google pay only. We do wish we’d have brought more cash so we didn’t have to stress about tipping the staff. We ended up tipping in British pounds though which they were grateful for. There is no ATM nearby. The boat docks for the evening at 5:30pm at the spice route boarding point. We thought this seemed early when booking but the timings work out beautifully. After dinner we enjoyed the jacuzzi bath and sauna followed by a long sleep in a very comfortable bed. You have the option to add a massage or a village walk in the evening also. The boat departs for a shorter morning cruise at 7:30am so we were out of bed for 6:30am. A very tasty and hearty breakfast was served on our way back. All in all I cannot recommend this cruise enough! The staff were extremely attentive without infringing on your privacy to enjoy the experience. All were extremely polite and helpful. One night is enough to enjoy the experience for sure, but I think i’m with everyone else in saying you’ll always wish you stayed longer. It is definitely one of the higher priced cruises on the market but the quality and luxury you receive far outweighs the cost. On departing met three other couples/groups. Two of them had been revisiting spice routes for years and all could not speak highly enough of their experience. We really hope to be back so we can enjoy this cruise again. Book it! You won’t be disappointed.
