Two popular street markets on Fa Yuen Street in Mongkok

点评：There are two notable markets along Fa Yuen Street in Mongkok. The first is a traditional street market situated between Prince Edward West Road to the north and Mongkok Road to the south. This market is similar to Jardine's Crescent (Causeway Bay), the Wanchai (Cross & Tai Yuen Streets) and others around the city where you are more likely to find locals than tourists.
The Fa Yuen Street Market is fairly busy most days of the weeks and particularly crowded on weekends. Here you will find shops and street stalls selling fruits and vegetables, cheap clothing items, accessories, household products and the likes. During the holiday periods, some of the stalls will have festive decorations. This is particularly the case during Chinese New Year.
The second market along Fa Yuen is known as Sneaker Street, situated between Argyle Street to the north and Dundas Street to the south. Here you will find several blocks lined mostly with shoe shops selling athletic, dress and casual footwear. It is basically an outdoor outlet scene, potentially a good place to pick up a pair of shoes at more reasonable prices than you'll find in shopping malls around the city. Do note that shops are generally selling at competitive prices but don't expect to find much at dirt cheap levels.
