点评：On of the wonders of the ancient world , the Colossus of Rhodes ... as we all know, it is gone for 2 millennia - give or take a few hundred years - so don't look for it ( Pyramids are still standing and the ruins of the Temple of Halicarnassus (not more than a pile of scattered rocks in Bodrum, still) ... not the Colossus).
What you shall find when visiting the Madraki harbor in Rhodes are 2 dear statues - Elefos’’ and ‘’Elafina’’, their names - and these statues are marking - allegedly- the spot where the Colossus once stood ( and even that, according to the historical records, what little we have about it, the statue was standing on side of the harbor and not with one foot of each side of the harbor entrance ... but legends never die...)
So when in Rhodes you can take a few pictures and move on... the legend is more interesting than the actual spot...
