Amazing walk and amazing monastery

点评：This monastery must be on TOP5 of Athens. Really. However it is hard to get here without a car (with a bus to the nearest village and then on foot). But still walking in Humetus hill is nice, peaceful and not very hard.
The monastery is laid in quiet souurandings and believe me that it is a gret rest after a few days in busy Athens.
It is amazed preserved, the staff is nice and dont make any problems (even they are helpfull! which made me shocked after visiting others places in Athens.
The climate here is fantastic - you can feel as a monk, however, of course, peopla are aroud (it was Sunday, so time to spend with family and friends).
For me, this monastery is on very top on every lists. And I have to come back there on autumn.
If you are already here, I recommend also the little walk up to the hill, where are the ruins of another monastery (not so spectacular, but worth to visit) and Texiarchis monastery, which is closed for visitors, but still nice from outside.
ABSOLUTELY STRICTLY RECOMMENDED
