点评:I did not want to just do only the standard packages at the resort. I'm an artist so I went looking for galleries to visit during my stay. When I saw the background info on the Ras Natango Gallery and Garden and its owners, I thought it was a perfect match for our visit since I'm also a teacher and an amateur botanist. The hummingbird feeding was a bonus.
I arranged our visit via email w Tamika and everything went smoothly. We had a wonderful visit, an informative tour w their son, a wonderful background story telling w Ras, some shared teacher experiences w Tamika, and art talk w fellow artists. And again, the hummingbird feeding was really something (see my picture below).
Some expectation management for visitors: Unless you are driving, a driver cost us extra w pickup and drop off at the resort. We arranged this via the gallery. The garden is not a formally laid out city-owned botanical garden but more a labor of love that is more appreciated given the hard work to make it happen. The trail may not be suitable for folks w knee or ankle issues. My wife stayed back in the covered area w the owners but still had a good time. We finished at the gallery but weren't given the hard sell to buy something.
