A great Botanical Garden built in a very steep hill. Steep paths in the Garden.

点评：Accessible by bus, car, or cable car. We rode the Funchal to Monte cable car and then transferred to the Monte to Botanical Gardens cable car. In this way, you enter at the top of the Gardens. You meander the many paths in a downhill manner to cover the whole Gardens. Know that to return to the same cable car, you are going to have to walk back uphill. There are 2 cafes - one at the top as you exit the cable car and enter the Gardens and another one about halfway down. Being March, not everything was in full bloom yet. But still, there are gorgeous plants and flowers in this well maintained Gardens. There are signs in most all of the plants telling you what you are looking at. We saw plants and trees from around the world, even an oak tree from Canada! 🇨🇦
