Magnificent cathedral but poor ticket staff experience

点评：There is no doubt that this is a magnificent building, and must be visited when in Milan. It is truly breathtaking.
We wanted to buy an entry ticket and the lift terraces experience.
The staff member clearly was not listening, or asking the correct questions and only sold us the lift ticket.
The entry staff were a fantastic support and sent us back to get the correct one. The ticket office is quite a few metres away. I then had to get past all the crowds queueing to go back to the desk!
I believe that there needs to be clearer instructions at the ticket, office of what you are actually buying and what is included. There is not.
It is also a shock to some people that if you take the lift up you are expected to take the stairs down .
My husband has mobility issues so we were fortunate that they let us take the lift.
Much renovation is being done at the moment and only a small part of the terraces can be seen .
So, in conclusion, a truly memorable experience that cannot be missed, let down by the administration ticket process. Perhaps that’s why they are encouraging everybody to buy online!
