点评:I've used Super Shuttle twice before (years ago) and both times they arrived on time and everything went fine. So I felt confident using them again the next time I needed a ride to the airport.
This time, like before, I received several confirmations leading up to the date of travel that everything was in good order. Only when the pickup time arrived, no sign of the shuttle van. I waited about 15 minutes, then checked the driver locator link they texted me (very handy). It showed that the driver was still 45 minutes away.
I was already a bit nervous that the scheduled pickup time only put us at the airport an hour before our flight departure time, but figured that shouldn't be a problem on a domestic flight. But now the driver was projected to arrive an hour late. We would be lucky to make the flight at this rate.
I called and explained all this to the driver, and he just said "Don't worry, you won't miss your flight." I don't know how he could make such a promise giving the numbers I was looking at. I might have chanced it if the tracker showed him speeding toward me on the freeway, but it showed him driving around Las Colinas. I'm in Mansfield.
So I called back and cancelled, and drove myself to the airport. The flight was already boarding when we got to the gate. I had to park in the terminal and it ended up costing me $250, when the shuttle would have cost only $95.
I am happy that Super Shuttle refunded my money right away. But I am very annoyed that the driver did not show up when promised, and did not seem to be honest with me about the delay and whether we would be able to make the flight on time. I'm also quite upset that I ended up spending an extra $150+ because of their incompetence.
It seems like this company exists to do one thing, get people to and from the airport reliably, and if they can't do that then I don't see how they stay in business. I'm not a fan of Uber and similar services, but I will definitely use something like that next time.
One star because the tracking app allowed me to make an informed decision about cancelling the shuttle, and they refunded my money immediately. Otherwise I would say no stars because they failed to deliver on the one thing they are supposed to do.
