Snowdrop Day - a massive disappointment

点评：We went along today to enjoy the much advertised Snowdrop Day, where, apparently there are over 150 varieties of snowdrop on display.
I don't think we saw 150 snowdrops in total.
There were a lot of snowdrops FOR SALE - I looked at a pot, a very small pot with a single snowdrop in it and it was - wait for it - £25.00. For one snowdrop in a pot.
The cafe was very disappointing, the worst cheese scone I've ever had. Chewy and powdery at the same time, quite a feat!
It was particularly disappointing because we'd enjoyed our visit to the garden last summer, and had brought friends with us today. A lady in the (long) queue for the loo said she was very disappointed as she had driven for two hours to get there to see the snowdrops. To be honest our experience merits one 'star' but I've leaving two because the gardens are nice and there were lots of lovely hellebores to admire.
I have no photos to upload because I didn't take any of the snowdrops, it was such a poor 'display' - less than in some of the gardens around here.
