Average art museum with very rude staff

点评：After reading all the great reviews of this modern art museum, I wanted to see it while I was in Strasbourg for the first time last week. Just like the rest of Strasbourg, the staff are rude and unhelpful. The security check was half hearted and only looked in one of my bags, not all of them. The lady at the cash desk was very objectionable when I didn't have the right change in cash and waved the credit card reader in my face until I put my card in. The she said they didn't have any gallery maps in English and waved me away.
They have some interesting pieces here but they are not guarded from UV light at all, which is not good. The later Ernst and Kandinsky pieces were interesting. However, a lot of it was really not worth bothering with compared to other European galleries, and as others have said here there are no benches to sit on and enjoy the art at length.
Overall, pretty disappointing. Worth a look to kill time on a wet day, but if the weather is nice there are plenty of better things to do in this city.
