Fabulous! Easy Side Trip as Part of Beach Vacation

点评：Fantastic visit! Such a gem! These gardens are beautiful and very well-kept. Enjoyable to meander around the 37 acres. Examples of using native shrubs and trees as hedging/fencing greet you as you enter the property. Great place to learn about native plants that may work well in your own garden.
Famous Dutch landscape architect, Piet Oudolf, designed the meadow in his naturalistic style. The colors in the meadow changes through the seasons. If you want shade you can spend time walking on the pleasant log-lined pathway through the woods, with ferns and other woodland plants among the trees. The Pepper River runs along the edge of the woodland garden.
There are plenty benches throughout the gardens and the bathrooms are pristine. Small gift shop near parking lot with native perennials and shrubs for sale. Tours available (pre-book) to include golf carts for those with mobility issues. Wear comfy walking shoes. This is a place to visit again and again and a nice side visit as part of a trip to the beach.
