点评：What an amazing day out on a speed boat 😝. The team of Bouba and Emily took care of everything we needed over the full 8 hour day out.
For about £75 per person ( exchange rate varies) , we were treated to tour of the southeastern side of Mauritius.
I honestly think you'd struggle to find better value for money if you tried to select each part of the day separately. The lobster alone in our hotel is being sold at about £50 per person.
We started with a boat ride to the Grand River South East Waterfall and then stopped off the see the wild Maqacue monkeys close by.
They will climb down to the boats to see what food type they would like to sample and then retreat to the trees again to digest their choice. Small bananas and apples seem like favourites to keep them interested.
We then took off further south for some quality time snorkelling on a shallow reef. So many fish were below the boat, and about the reef, it was hard to keep track of the many types. It was a shame to have to leave.
The next stop was an old abandoned lighthouse at îl au phare island for a brief stop on land before heading off to lunch on a nearby island.
On the way, we stopped off to see some giant turtles on île aux Aigrettes island ( protected wildlife habitat). They were viewable from the boat and seemed content on eating the local vegetation.
Lunch began with garlic bread, a selection of grilled fish, chicken, lobster, prawns, potatoes, and salad selection to start. Dessert was grilled bananas with a honey drizzle and a birthday cake to follow - just superb!
It was all washed down with a local vanilla rum (other drinks were available) - which kept flowing.
We then concluded the day at Île Aux Cerfs island before the final speedboat ride to end the perfect day out.
Overall, we had an amazing day.
It's all thanks to the hosting by Bouba and Emily. Thank you, guys, and good luck for the future. Keep on making memories that last a lifetime for so many.
