Paignton paint Out Exhibition at Torre Abbey.

点评：We came to see “The Great Paignton Paint Out” exhibition on at Torre Abbey, on show until Sunday 23rd February.
What a special exhibition this is and well worth a visit. The artwork by a number of local artists is fabulous. Many of the works are of local landmarks around Paignton and along with the descriptive panels showed me more about the history behind Paignton’s growth subsequent to the arrival of GWR railway from London. Theatres, cinemas and hotels than I had discovered in the seven years since we moved to Torquay. The two exhibition spaces are beautifully laid out with many examples of the hundreds of local amateur’s work produced on Paignton Green on the Paint-out Day last year along with those from the Professionals.
As a regular to the Abbey it was wonderful to see the main exhibition space bathed in light from the windows, for once not darkened by the shutters.
And the new view of the seafront across the recently opened pathway transform the view. How exciting for visitors to Torquay being able to park on the sea front and walk straight up to the entrance.
