If you’re a tourist, you go to the Louvre. Period.

点评：My wife are in Paris together for the first time for eight days. So of COURSE, we have to do the Louvre. Our tour company arranged for a private guided tour, and our guide was amazing.
We hit the highlights of the museum, all while learning so much more than what we would have from an audio interaction. From the archaeological origins of the fortress to the buildings we all see, the amazing statues (Athena, Venus de Milo, Winged Victory, Hermaphrodite), the paintings (including the Coronation of Napoleon, the Raft of the Medusa, Liberty Leading the People). Of course, the Mona Lisa was a must-do, with the throngs of people who all wanted to see one of the most famous paintings in the world. Our guide was very good to show us other works of da Vinci’s that may have contributed to his painting style seen in the Mona Lisa portrait.
Our guide was also great at showing us “off the beaten path” ways to get around, as well as easier bathrooms!
