Old fashioned golf course well worth a visit
Cleeve Hill Golf Club的点评
点评：Staying in stow Friday to Sunday the plan was to play local course
It's not easy to find a course with members on a Saturday however Cleeve Hill came up trumps
Old style club house with a warm feeling and a good selection of beers and food
The course itself is well worth a visit with expansive fairways allowing opening of shoulders if you're confident you have the right line and small greens making approach shots the key
We never saw any sheep on the course as mentioned in other reviews
Giles in the pro shop could not have been more accommodating with his help before we teed off
As a two ball on a Saturday lunchtime with made up with two other visitors as the speed of the course was four-ball ...got round in 3hours 30 mins and glad we got all 18 holes in before the January light faded ...golf courses like this one are becoming rarer ...I hear the council ran things until recently when it nearly disappeared off the radar ..id suggest this is more to do with how councils run things rather than the course
The test for me is always would I go back ....on the basis of the course club house friendly staff the answer would be yes
