点评:This is a beautifully curated, well organized, educational museum. It's name, doesn't give you any idea of what's inside,(unless you know who Giacometti is!) thus it wasn't an obvious choice, which seems to be the way Setubal is - an undiscovered gem of a city.
The museum gives you an easy to digest history of the sardine industry in Setubal in an repurposed factory. From the historical center or marina this is an easy walk through neighborhoods, up hill with lovely views near Miradouro de São Sebastião. I enjoyed all the displays, a full reproduction of a general store, lots of canning equipment and pictures of the workers with their stories. We took about 45" to wander around. It's free to seniors over 65 or just 2 euros to enter. No gift shop, clean bathrooms and easy for those who have mobility issues (elevators that work!) Its another lovely museum in a working city that has several undiscovered gems and few tourists.
