Badger Watch Dorset的点评
点评：A few issues with the experience. Firstly, in 3 and a half hours we saw zero badgers and no other wildlife of note. Of course it’s nature and they can’t guarantee what you will or won’t see, so maybe unfair to judge too harshly on that, but might be useful for people to know.
It is quite expensive to book and I’m not sure what I was expecting in terms of input from the people running this, but for that price maybe a bit more than meeting you at the car park and pointing you towards the shed you will be sat in. Maybe a little info about badgers and take a few questions?
My main issue though is the start time. It is far too early. They say to start at half 6. Badgers don’t come out until it’s starting to get dark and when we went in August, that is MUCH later than half 6. There is a log book in the cabin where people record the time of the first badger sighting, and looking through it, the average time was about 20:45. It would make so much more sense to start at 19:30 or even 20:00. It makes me wonder if that is the start time purely as it is convenient to the person who meets you at the car park when you arrive, so they can go home?
