点评：I recently had an experience at the Expo GDL Taco Stand that I feel compelled to share. My visit took place during a bustling Saturday at the expo, where various events, including car showcases, wedding planning exhibits, and graduations, attracted a large crowd. The impressive building and the overall atmosphere were indeed captivating. The staff, without exception, displayed exceptional courtesy and friendliness, which added to the positive impression of the place.
On our first encounter with the taco stand, situated in what appeared to be the atrium or foyer, we were discouraged by the long lines and opted to skip it. However, we returned the following day when the crowd had thinned out due to other events, such as a book festival. This time, we decided to try the taco stand, which initially seemed promising.
The ordering process involved paying for your desired items first, followed by a visit to the chef to select your choice of meat for the tacos. Then, you proceeded to the toppings and salsa stand, which offered an array of salsas, pickled jalapenos, chopped onions, cilantro, and more.
Here's where my experience took an unfortunate turn. As I approached the salsa stand, I noticed flies not only hovering around but also landing on the various ingredients. My concern deepened when, while selecting dried chiles salsa, I discovered a dead fly in it. To my dismay, further inspection revealed more dead flies floating in the pickled jalapenos' vinegar bucket.
I was left with a feeling of disgust and decided not to consume the food. Although I felt embarrassed to bring this to the attention of the staff, I did observe someone else approaching them with a similar concern. What I witnessed next was deeply disappointing - the staff proceeded to fish out the dead flies from the salsas.
This experience was not only unappetizing but also unjust to paying customers who expected clean and hygienic food preparation. I strongly urge others to exercise caution and consider their health and safety when dining at the Expo GDL Taco Stand. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this establishment, and it would be wise to explore other dining options in the area.
