点评:It is definitely worth an early visit here to avoid all the crowds and tour groups. Take the Midosuji line from Shimsaibashi and off at Namba via #3 exit. From the exit, it is about a 10-15 minute walk that is all level. The Namba Yasaka Shrine is kind of hidden in the middle of a block but with the guidance of your Google Maps app, it should not be an issue to find it.
The shrine itself is a very unusual looking huge lion head with an open mouth that is actually a stage for performances. Through the years, the belief that has been passed on this lion head has the ability to swallow up any type of evil spirit that is circulating and it would be able to bring good luck fortune to schools and different types of businesses. There is also opportunity to purchase many types of good luck charms here. Perhaps it is a good idea to remember to bring along some cash as I believe they do not accept credit cards. Definitely worth a detour here as you will not find this type of whimsical shrine anywhere in the world.
