Relaxing swim, seat in the sun & decent restaurant

点评：I found their website before going on holiday and made plans to visit. The winter dates you don’t need to book however it was very much worth us asking our hotel to arrange our visit. They arranged the time & the hire of towels (which isn’t advertised as possible on the Lake website) , our hotel also booked the taxi transport to & from. This made our visit totally stress free & very organised. We were due to fly home & didn’t want to buy a towel to keep.
We enjoyed an absolutely beautiful morning sitting nearby & swimming in the lake. You can ask for your umbrella to be raised. We also asked for a more upright chair rather than a deckchair for my disabled husband. There is also a separate area for disabled patrons. senior staff are very experienced & pleasant & accommodating. A minority of other staff could do with a bit more customer service training, but their lack of experience with handling people didn’t mar our trip.
The lake is a really pleasant experience to swim in. Temp yesterday was 22 degrees. I’ve read other comments that say lake isn’t much different to the sea however I would dispute that as we swam from a Cataraman at sea just off the coast a couple of days before & had to ease in very gently due to cold water shock. The temperature of the lake was definitely preferable & NO cold water shock 😀
There are a few tiny fish around the steps as you get in, they don’t bother anyone. Weed in the lake might brush yr leg but nothing sinister. The steps will probably get some cleaning during the close down which is necessary as the submerged steps are quite slippery atm so hold the handrail & watch yr step.
There are outside wooden changing cubicles & showers at the lake & also behind the restaurant where you will find the toilets. We didn’t use lockers but those r near the toilets.
We booked lunch at their restaurant which was delightful & I will review separately but you can order food to be brought to your deckchairs without waiting to get changed. I enjoyed the restaurant experience & we were due to get our taxi so were dressed already & ready to leave so restaurant was ideal choice.
I noticed some cute bronze or brass small dolphins on a rock in the roped off area. V cute.
Would recommend & hv already done so, & wld go again. 💕👍🏻
