点评:The final stretch of the walk from Portmellon drops you down through narrow streets and old fisherman cottages until you come you come out at a quaint sandy beach partly enclosed with a small harbour wall. quite secluded and the water was crystal clear.
The sandy beach allows plenty of space for children to play and swim in the sea.
As seams usual these day quite a few dogs were on the beach. No mess this time, but there was plenty of evidence rolling in the surf at the edge of the beach.
There are plenty of shops and cafes near the beach so you will not go hungry. although the best place we thought was the little Post Office/Store/Cafe/Pub just a short walk up from the beach.
Next to this store is the Old Customs house, which at one time was home to Charles Peach a well known Cornish Naturalist, with a plaque mounted on the wall.
Across the road from here there was a novel idea for a Library with books being placed in an old Phone box.
