DDAY Normandy Guide的点评
点评：François was an extremely knowledgeable, kind, and engaging guide for the beaches of Normandy. From 8:30 am to 5:30 pm he picked us up at our hotel in Bayeux and chauffeured us to more than half a dozen stops related to the invasion of Normandy. He reached out before our visit to get details on what areas we were interested in and how he could tailor our visit for us.
I’m *so* glad we decided to hire a local guide for our DDay visit, particularly one with his own big, clean van. Without François we wouldn’t have known what to do or where to go out of the dozens and dozens of stop, memorials, museums.
Francois is unbelievably knowledgeable about the invasion of Normandy and would satisfy even the most particular war-history enthusiast. At the same time, when describing various scenes, he did so with an engaging empathy those who might not have as much of a head for facts and figures—which can get overwhelming!!—will appreciate.
It was special and important to hear the history of the battle of Normandy not just from a very good tour guide, but someone whose own family and countrymen were so impacted by the events.
Do not hesitate to hire François!
