I would not recommend to go on a desert tour in Doha

点评：I booked a 4x4 Desert tour with camel ride, dune bashing and sandboarding.
Our guide/driver arrived on time in a big, clean car, as it was advertised. But he barely spoke English and he also didn’t really want to community anything with us. He was constantly on his phone, texting his friends. The only thing he told us, was the schedule for the afternoon.
We stopped at a petrol station, he jumped out without a word and left us there. He went to buy drinks that’s included in the tour(unlimited) but he only offered some water or soft drinks at the end of the tour.
The camel ride is the most touristy thing you can do in Doha. People are lining up for a 3 min camel ride, while the drivers are chatting with each other. Everything is very rushed and poor camels don’t deserve the treatment they get there.
The dune bashing was a good experience, expect the desert was full of cars, we were lining up after each other. But it was a long driving.
The sandboarding was okay as well, you could try as many times as you want and of course the driver can take as many videos and photos of you as many you want.
Altogether it doesn’t worth 60 USD, I would not recommend to book any desert tour in Doha, it’s just a tourist trap. If you can drive on your own.
