Disappointing Experience at Cirque du Soleil’s “Luzia”

点评：I had high expectations for Cirque du Soleil’s “Luzia”, given their reputation for breathtaking performances and innovative stagecraft. Unfortunately, my experience was far from enjoyable, and I left halfway through the show—something I’ve never done before at any live performance.
Firstly, the venue was uncomfortably cold. The air conditioning (or fans) blasted cold air directly onto the audience, making it difficult to focus on the performance. I understand the need for climate control, especially with the use of water effects in the show, but the setup was simply unpleasant. A major production like this should prioritize audience comfort—especially in a temporary venue where temperature regulation is often tricky.
Secondly, the show itself felt simplistic and uninspired. Compared to older Cirque du Soleil productions, “Luzia” lacked the sophistication and technical brilliance that made their past shows memorable. The acrobatics were competent but not breathtaking, the transitions felt disjointed, and the overall energy of the performance was underwhelming. I found myself waiting for a “wow” moment that never arrived.
