点评:This is a review is mainly of the shop at Tadanoumi. On my trip to Rabbit Island, my mother asked for an umbrella shown on their website as a souvenir. That was the only thing she requested. Unfortunately, I left it on the train and it was never recovered. My hotel concierge contacted the shop and Mr. Matsumoto from the terminal shop was so kind and patient in arranging a replacement. So accommodating that he also assisted me in gathering additional souvenirs from Rabbit Island. I cannot express how this kindness made such a difference to me and especially to my mother. This shop does not have an on line presence so it truly was above and beyond in terms of customer service. The package was wrapped with such care and all arrived in perfect condition.
I only went for one night but I will be back next year and will be loading up at the port with souvenirs. Just a short note about the island that I felt I should note based on some reviews I have read. I know that if I wanted to see an abundance of rabbits, spring would be the best time to visit - that's just nature. I have a degree in animal science and I have been a volunteer at domestic and exotic centers. These rabbits are feral so they are in nature as intended. I saw no injuries or maladies that were horrific or unexpected for outdoor rabbits. The vast majority were amazingly healthy looking considering they are outdoor rabbits. They looked just like the rabbits in my neighborhood. I have owned lion head rabbits and they were house rabbits. Many of the island rabbits looked as if they could be indoor kept. They all ran to me and ate the rabbit food from the terminal and veggies I purchased on my way to the island. The hotel, staff, food and island were all amazing. Beautiful and so relaxing. The hotel was clean and comfortable. I should have stayed longer and will do so next year. If you visit, please follow the suggestions of not leaving extra food, trying to pick up the rabbits, feeding them in road, etc. There were dishes around the island next to water spigots so plenty of water. I had extra water with me just in case.
If you can, go and visit. The campsites look so cool. Please be sure to pick up a souvenir or two at the port shop too.
