点评：This is not a polished zoo, a bit rustic. The animals, 90% or more birds, all appear healthy and energetic and is a very pleasant activity for both families and adults. They manage to have many birds in a natural habitat yet easily seen by patrons, which many zoos don’t seem to care about anymore.
The offering for purchase of seed sticks and duck feed pellets encourages interaction with the birds. The seed sticks are really a must for getting the full benefit of visiting The Landing Zone, a must do activity, to get the birds to land on or near you. Kids especially love this, even the adults have big smiles! Make sure to take pictures and videos of the excitement.
I suggest forgoing the duck feed pellets. It is the same food the staff is putting out so doesn’t really have much appeal to the birds, not really a special treat.
This area of the state is a food desert, miles from any restaurants, so pack a picnic. There is a snack/light lunch cafe on site.
