Lacked the 5-Star Experience We Expected
Spa at Hatherley Manor的点评
点评：Our experience at the spa, which was a special birthday gift and my partner's first-ever visit to a spa (and my first in 10 years), was a mix of highs and lows.
On the positive side, the treatments were absolutely wonderful. The therapists were highly experienced and professional, ensuring we felt well cared for throughout. The treatment room itself was comfortable, with a soothing and relaxing atmosphere that added to the overall enjoyment.
The café was another highlight of our visit, offering delightful drinks and snacks. The staff there were attentive and friendly, making us feel genuinely welcome during that part of our experience.
However, what held us back from giving a higher rating was the disappointing lack of attention to detail in delivering the five-star treatment we had anticipated. Despite following the instructions in the multiple email confirmations and reminders to arrive 15 minutes before our scheduled package time - a package costing over £300 for three treatments between two people - we were met with a lukewarm reception rather than the warm welcome one would expect for such a premium experience.
Additionally, we did not receive a full tour of the spa facilities, which left us feeling unsure about what was available to us. Most notably, we were not provided with robes, towels, or flip-flops - items explicitly mentioned in the email communications as part of the experience. This oversight was particularly disappointing given that our package included two hours of complimentary spa access alongside our 85-minute treatments. The absence of these essential amenities detracted from what should have been a seamless and relaxing start to our day.
While there were many positives to our visit, including the excellent treatments and lovely café experience, the lack of care in welcoming guests and providing basic amenities significantly impacted our overall impression.
