点评:Bulawayo is a lovely city with lovely people , I was born there in 1968 and loved living there.
We took a trip down memory lane and stopped at Jairos Jiri to buy curios.
We parked outside the revenue office and paid the R 20 parking fee.
I stayed in the car as my sister ran to collect her purchase and next moment a wheel clamper said we had parked over the line of the parking bay next to us.
I said it was no issue as I would move the car.
He said it was too late and that we had already been clamped by his colleagues.
This is not the way to encourage visitors to return to Bulawayo and the underhanded way that they perform their duties is unacceptable.
We were in no way wanting to break any rules and would gladly have moved if we were given the opportunity.
We were the only car parked outside the revenue office so would not have affected any other people wanting to park.
The fine of USA $ 40 is an absolute rip off and I would highly recommend to any one going to BYO to ensure that they park according to whatever rules apply on the day..
