Ebro Delta Birding的点评
点评：I have recently spent a week on the Winter Wonders tour, guided by Al Henderson of Ebro Delta Birding. We were a small group, just an Austrian birder and myself for the first couple of days later joined by one more. Al was a very helpful and informative guide, knowing all the sites in the Delta and up to the Catalonian Pyrenees where target bird species could be found. Al was very flexible, in being willing to stop the car if I seen a photo opportunity roadside. I also appreciated Al's understanding of my somewhat restricted mobility. This was my second excursion with Ebro Delta Birding bringing my species list over the two trips to 149 with my highlights of this trip being sightings of Wallcreeper, Iberian Green Woodpecker, great views of Iberian Grey Strike, Bluethroat, Black Vulture, Cirl Bunting and Little Owl amongst others. Observing 100 plus Griffon Vultures at close quarters feeding at Santa Cilia was an unforgettable experience.
I flew from Ireland especially for this excursion, but for anyone with a day or days to spare while holidaying in the Barcelona area, it is worth checking if Al is available to guide. I would thoroughly recommend Ebro Delta Birding and I will definitely go birding with them again in the future.
