The Children's Museum of the Upstate的点评
点评：When my boys were young I loved taking them to TCMU. Since they've grown up, I have enjoyed taking nieces and nephews and other family children. In the past, TCMU always had some kind engaging, hands-on learning opportunity that suited each of my children's ages. Yes the exhibits were wonderful, but what made TCMU was special was the people so obviously engaged in my child's development at every stage. In recent years, the hands-on engagement has been extremely watered down, and it extra curricular programs are few and far between. My kids loved summer camp at TCMU. Last year when I tried to sign up my nephew I was shocked to only find 3-4 weeks offered in the middle of the summer when most families seem to be on vacation. Based on the phone conversation I had last week, it seems like TCMU will be offering no camp learning opportunities at all this year. When I look at the museums online presence it seems the only things you all promote are your retail store, adult nights (isn't this a children's museum?), and kids day out opportunities. Additionally, all entry prices have been raised over the past couple years....meanwhile the daily open hours have shortened. Its sad to say that after so many years of a strong commitment to GVL families TCMU seems to be nothing more than a fancy, expensive, playground now.
