The building which houses the Aquarium is directly on the beach. It is huge because apart from the aquarium, it houses multiple eating places and stores for clothing, souvenirs, games etc. It also has many toys for kids like electric dinausaurs, Ripley museum and wax museum and also closed circuit cars.
This is also where you can find Turiticket.com (Local 45-C) where you can purchase and reserve tours for Veracruz and around like archeological sites (Tajin, Cempoala), manglares, cascades etc.
The Acuario itself is incredible. You will find fishes of all kind, turtles, pinguins, sharks, manatees and all sorts of other unknown.
The tour will take you easily 1 hour to 2 hours.
There are many persons to help you with your questions, making this tour an education for both children and adults.
