点评：On our recent journey to Meteora, we stumbled upon a true hidden gem nestled in the small village of Filia — Figlia Gi Winery, a charming, family-owned estate that quickly became one of the highlights of our trip.
We arrived on a sunny Sunday afternoon, expecting a quick tasting, but what followed was a heartwarming three-hour experience that felt more like visiting old friends than touring a winery. We were greeted with genuine warmth by John one of the wine makers and by Carolina, the matriarch of the family, whose hospitality set the tone for the afternoon. The sunshine bathed the vineyard in golden light, and we soon found ourselves seated with her son John, the winemaker, sipping wine and sharing stories.
The wines at Figlia Gi are exceptionally well-balanced, flavorful, and clearly crafted with both skill and passion. John is not only deeply knowledgeable about the winemaking process but also has a genuine love for the land and its traditions, which shines through in every bottle.
To complement the tasting, Carolina prepared a stunning cheese platter featuring a variety of local cheeses — each bite perfectly paired with the wines and full of regional character. The combination of delicious wine, local flavors, and heartfelt conversation made it hard to leave.
