点评:We have traveled extensively throughout Mexico, and this was my first time to Mazatlan staying in the Golden Zone. Pretty quiet in this neighborhood in the evening, not a lot going on..lots of empty restaurants and clubs, certainly not the "Cancun" scene. There's a heavy police presence here.. use common sense folks..don't be flashing your money, cell phones or jewelry.. leave your "designer" labels at home.. fortunately we never had an issue... but as in most tourist spots, you will be approached many times by vendors, taxi cabs offering rides, that's normal, they're just trying to earn a living..the streets are haphazard (normal) so don't expect to wear your fancy stilettos while walking about, it was quite cool at night, so you will need a light jacket.. the locals seem to like to wear "puffy" jackets.. DON'T buy "silver" jewelry, it's likely fake.. ALWAYS pay CASH in pesos.. remember, this isn't USA or Canada, don't expect to get what you get at home. Mexico has its own unique vibe.. take it in stride and appreciate what you have.. "Viva Mexico".
