Don’t be afraid of La Merced!!
La Merced的点评
点评：If you are into visiting Markets this is a must. At first sight this La Merced can be intimidating but my family and I never felt unsafe and walked the market freely. Let me say this place is big but there are a few places noted in google maps and the are remarkably accurate in the location. I bring this up mainly because if you are not good with direction it can be easy to get lost in the market. Mainly remember it’s a grid and it should be easy to navigate. We ate at two stalls, no one got sick and the food was amazing and service was super friendly. Mainly I would recommend sticking with places that draw a crowd and are set up to host several people, I’d also say those are the places that were most engaging as well.
Finally I’ll say I can see how having a guide could make this a better experience if you are not use to the chaos of a market but I don’t agree that it’s a necessity. You just have to be open and respectful.
