Thanks to the presence of numerous bars and restaurants that almost reach the beach and also for the large open space, it is among the most famous beaches in the area.
We also stopped to cool off a bit, explore the area and eat slices of the tasty, local special food 'tiella'.
With its coastline of about 2 km, the beach of Sant'Agostino, located inside the bay of the same name, is the longest in Gaeta, starting from the promontory of Torre Capovento and arriving at the rocky walls of Monte Moneta.
The beach is sandy, golden, mixed with some rocks, and its width varies as the storm surges, at times, reduce it considerably.
It is very popular with climbers who love to practice sport climbing, or free climbing, on Monte Moneta, whose peak reaches 360 meters.
The sea is clean and has a wonderful blue color.
It is characterized by stretches of free beach and others with the presence of accommodation facilities that offer numerous bathing services to those who want to enjoy a quiet day with some comforts.
