Interesting, but maybe not a stand alone must
Orinduik Falls的点评
点评：While I enjoyed the outing, I wouldn’t rate this as an outstanding standalone attraction. I did Orinduik falls - a series of cascading falls on the Guyana Brazil border - as part of the package deal that also took the group to Kaieteur falls. While the Orinduik location is interesting (sitting in something of a Savannah region), the experience was good and interesting but not so memorable. Part of the challenge for me is that while the falls run for a considerable distance, the tour (when we visited) only let us go to one point where we essentially could get our feet wet. So while the material said you could swim, at best you could get a little wet. Having said that, I absolutely understand the safety concerns, as the falls were raging and dangerous when we were there. It seems at other times of the year, when the water levels are lower, you can safely wade across to the Brazilian side of the river. However, there was no opportunity to just walk along the side of the river - that alone would have made the experience more memorable. Also keep an eye out for the small insects that seem innocuous but which will have you itching for days. Take BUG SPRAY or where long sleeves and long pants. One point of interest is do talk to the local residents who will likely come from Guyana and from the Brazilian side. They might have trinkets to sell or they just appreciated people talking to them.
