History, plants, lizards, seashells, even bats!
St. George Village Botanical Garden的点评
点评:We came here as a family (with teens and grandma) to see interesting plants and learn some island history. We had already read quite a bit about the island and its history, but the very helpful lady in the visitor center told us several things we didn’t know. She loaned us a map and explained it quite thoroughly, which turned out to be extremely helpful since signage is rather lacking in the gardens. It is a rambly place with many small areas to explore. The walk is only a mile or so, but with the unfamiliar heat and humidity (we are from New England) we were pretty worn out by the end. Thankfully there are shady spots. We visited in March, which I have heard is the most pleasant time; I’m not sure I would visit the gardens in summer, although there would probably be more flowers then. The kids particularly enjoyed the lizards and seashell collection.
