点评：The ‘Night of the Undead’ Halloween party at HOWL AT THE MOON started at 7pm on Saturday October 26, 2024, but we didn’t arrive until 8.30pm after a morning of shopping in Spirit Halloween store, drinks around our hotel pool and a couple of hours getting dressed up.
Our costumes were ‘Medusa’ and ‘Michael from E.T. dressed for Halloween’, the latter of which nobody recognised of course!
We entered the fancy dress competition and bravely got on stage with the other costumed attendees. We didn’t progress to the next round (not that we expected to), but it was fun to see the other elaborate costumes. Everyone put a lot of effort into what they were wearing and we spent a lot of time looking around the packed club to see what folks had come dressed as. Our favorite was Bob from Beetlejuice.
Entertainment at Howl at the Moon was provided by a small but talented group of musicians, performing on two duelling pianos, drums and electric guitar, and there was a good mix of spooky themed songs, plus rap, pop, and rock and roll classics, all of which the performers put their own unique spin on.
At points through the night we took seats at the bar. Despite it being busy, the bar staff were attentive and swift at serving us. They were a credit to the club as we never once felt we were ignored.
Other attendees seemed to have discount vouchers, or pre-paid drinks tickets, but we couldn’t find details of these on the Howl at the Moon website.
Our visit cost as follows:
🎟️ Cover charge x 2 = $20.00
🪣 Sweet but Psycho Bucket (86 oz) = $25.00
🍻 Bottled Corona + Blue Moon ($15.50 x 5 rounds) = $77.50
👍 Gratuities ($2 per drink) = $22.00
💰 Total = $144.50
We left Howl at the Moon in the early hours of Sunday morning. Never in our many visits to Orlando could we have imagined that one day we’d be walking down International Drive, one of us looking like a Greek monster and the other with a fake knife stuck in his head!
That’s the magic of Halloween and Orlando! We are already making plans to revisit Howl at the Moon for Halloween 2025!
