点评:Absolutely beautiful open air ruins steeped in history, just a shame we were not allowed in. We have a well behaved cockapoo who we are more than willing to have on a lead around the ruins, and then would have enjoyed what I’m sure is fine hospitality in the cellar bar. Sadly it’s no dogs allowed not even one step through the gate into the open ruins. With a bar which I know has a flagstone floor and being in a very rural and popular walking area it’s a huge discrimination that beloved pets are treated so harshly as to not be allowed in. But to go to the stage of saying no to outside and even within the grounds of the ruins, which is a CADW operated attraction, is unfathomable. On a personal note this is hugely devastating to me as my mum’s (who was killed in 2023) ashes are scattered nearby and this route through the black mountains stopping at the priory on the way meant a great deal to me. So so sad.
