点评:This is a great place to visit for history buffs like myself. Lots to learn about the early Moravian settlers in the area. I went on a Monday when the visitor’s center is closed. Employees/volunteers were there dressed in period costume. A group of children and parents started to come in about a half hour after I arrived. One of the volunteers very politely moved a small barricade/gate that was in front of the Gemeinhaus so I could take a photo. The door to the building was open, so I walked inside and took a couple of photos. Another employee/volunteer walked into the room I was in and very matter-of-factly announced that the building wasn’t “open yet.” She wasn’t rude, but was not at all pleasant or welcoming. It just seemed strange to me considering the door was wide open, and I spoke to that. Be sure to take the time to take the very short hike up the hill to God’s Acre, which is a graveyard. So peaceful and serene! In short, this a great place to visit and you can learn a lot, but just be careful where you walk.
