A Free Ferry sailing to view The Statue of Liberty
史泰登岛渡轮的点评
点评：We wanted to see the Statue of Liberty and decided to make our trip on the free Staten Island Ferry.
We reached the Ferry Terminal and we were bombarded by guys trying to steer us away from the ferry to one of the private tours. We were warned that this would likely happen and therefore we knew that we would politely walk past them as we knew where we were going and what we wanted to do but you could tell that they were steering people away from the free ferry.
Once inside the terminal we didn't wait long to board. Although it was a cold, crisp, sunny February day we wanted to view the journey from the outside observation deck and we were not disappointed the views were great, very clear.
You don't get overly close to Lady Liberty but you get to see her from the ferry and view the whole skyline.
We arrived at the other S delivery disembarked and got straight back onto the ferry for the return journey. Again we stood outside while we sailed past the Statue of Liberty and then went inside to warm up.
We loved the journey we understood that we wouldn't get that close but we had made that decision beforehand and so it was perfect for what our plans were
