点评:The complimentary bus was not at the bus stop so we hiked. Our pants were soaked even with ponchos as it poured while we hiked to the ropeway. There are two steep parts to the climb.
There are two parts to the ropeway. A gondola ride and a tram ride. The tram waits a while for passengers before it goes up or down. The fee is Y2,000 r.t.
Due to weather conditions, visibility at the tram’s station was poor. It was pouring so we decided not to hike 30 minutes to the summit. We won’t experience the “like heaven” feel of viewing captivating panoramic sights anyway. Based on the map, there is an observatory, temples and shrines at different spots of the trail up (ref. Picture of map uploaded).
When we got back to the base of the gondola, they had suspended operations because of the weather.
Fortunately, the bus was at the top stop so we rode it back to the Torii Shrine.
