So grateful. This was the highlight of our mini roadtrip
Freediving Cabo Pulmo的点评
点评：We reached out to Claudio based on the great TA/ google reviews and we weren’t disappointed. We were initially meant to combine scuba and free diving in Cabo Pulmo but opted to stick to free diving thanks to those reviews.
We sent our dates and what little experience we had with freediving which was practically nothing. My partner and I just completed the first level of theory / pool session with PADI and wanted to explore the sport some more.
Based on that Claudio curated 3 days of training and fun dives. We were lucky he was available. By the end of those 3 days we were certified as AIDA 1 freedivers and managed to see some incredible schools of fish.
As other TA reviews mentioned equalizing was harder to manage than we thought and we felt so deflated not knowing how to overcome it quick enough. I have to say Claudio did a phenomenal job putting us at ease, keeping us motivated and helped explain how the different parts of the body can be used to equalize. He didn’t push or rush us and went step by step until we grasped the concept. Safety was an essential theme to everything he did. He taught us different ways to approach the equalization. I actually still catch myself doing Frenzel exercises based on his teachings 10 days later.
We used his training on the rest of our mini roadtrip around BCS capturing some more incredible sea life moments.
Freediving is a beautiful sport. It’s challenging but so rewarding. Next time I’d easily dedicate a week in Cabo Pulmo to train some more with Claudio and explore the incredible sea life that part of the world has to offer.
