From mid January until the beginning of February he arranged a tour of Kerala for me. The journey started in Mangalore and took me down the south Indian coast to the tip of India in two weeks. The guide Mr Prakash provided had an excellent knowledge of the area, was a very good driver and very helpful and accommodating.
I was able to see many major attractions in Kerala and there was also an amazing over night trip on a houseboat which took me to villages in the backwaters and the opportunity to see a Kathakali dance-drama and south India martial arts.
Mr Prakash also made it possible for me to take part in the kumbh mela a Hindu pilgrimage festival celebrating a full orbital revolution of Jupiter around the Sun. Accommodation was arranged in a luxury tent with a toilet and shower and once again the guide was attentive to my needs and made sure we avoided the heat of the day which I cannot handle well when arranging the walk to along the Ganges to the confluence of the Ganges, the Yamuna, and the mythical invisible Sarasvati.
